Linked / Events and Squadding

Managing Event Linkages

• when a shooter is squadded in an event they are squadded for all rounds in that event and all future events (but not previous events)
• however if you "unlink" an event then any changes within that "unlinked" event will only impact that event
  
• on the Nominations & Squads page click the yellow icon with the three dashes to the right of each event
• this will allow you to "unlink" the event by unchecking the box
  
• you need to uncheck all events that you do not want "linked" for squadding purposes

Managing Completed Events

• when an event is complete you should mark it as complete by clicking on the yellow icon with the three dashes to the right of that event
• once marked as complete
  
  • any newly nominated shooters will not be nominated into that event by default
  • the user interface will default to show the first "non-complete" event (eg when moving to the shootoffs page)
  • in the future marking an event as complete will post a list of the "winners" to the app

Example - Resquad for handicap

• the shoot program has 4 events with event 3 being a handicap which will be resquadded for meterage
• first setup all 4 events with event 3 being 5 man squads and the rest 6
• then go to nominations & squads and click the three dashes to the right of the 3rd event and unchecked "linked"
• now when people are squaded in event 1 they will squad the same in event 2 and 4 but remain unsquaded in event 3
• when people are squaded in event 3 on the basis of their handicap this will not impact the squading in event 4

Example - Resquad for day 2

• the shoot program has 6 events with 3 events on day 1 and 3 on day 2 and shooters will be resquadded for day 2 based on handicap
• once the events are setup go to nominations & squads and click the three dashes to the right of events 4, 5 and 6 and uncheck "linked"
• nominate and squad all shooters for events 1 to 3
• once nominations close for day 1 unlink events 1, 2 and 3 and relink 4, 5 and 6 and squad shooters in event 4 based on handicap
